We would like to take an opportunity to focus on some past scholarship winners. These students have a lot to be proud of, and have set a great example of what the Adler Foundation prizes.
Hi, my name is Amber Uriarte. I graduated from Baker High School in 2005. In high school, I was a three-sport athlete and involved in many school organizations such as, National Honors Society and Yearbook. I applied for a scholarship from the Leo Adler Foundation and received it to attend Boise State University. While I was attending Boise State and moving towards my degree, Business Administration in Marketing, I reapplied for this scholarship every year. This foundation supported me financially until I graduated from Boise State University in May 2010. We are very fortunate to have this scholarship to aid students from rural communities such as, Baker City.
Currently, I work in a marketing department for a locally owned company in Boise, Idaho where I can use and expand my educational knowledge I gained in college. I wouldn’t have been able to go after my career dreams without the support from the Leo Adler Foundation.
I would highly recommend taking advantage of the Leo Adler scholarship. It is worth the time out of your day to apply for this grant, because they want to contribute towards your success. They will take your hard work and academic achievements into consideration and help you achieve your scholastic goals.
I love this quote for every day life, “whatever you want to accomplish make it the best it can be. Don’t settle for the weakest when you can have the fittest.”
Hello, my name is Kristen Gulick and I am currently a senior at Oregon State University, majoring in zoology and minoring in fisheries and wildlife science. Coming from the small town of Halfway, OR, it was wonderful to know that I could receive such a great scholarship to help fund my undergraduate and potentially graduate education in the future.
It was such an honor to receive this scholarship, to earn recognition for my scholastic endeavors, dedication, and moral character. It has not only enabled me to pursue my zoology bachelors degree, but has also encouraged me to persevere even in the presence of obstacles.
I can only hope that one day I will be able to reciprocate and help students in need as the Leo Adler Foundation has done for me.
Hello, I just wanted to inform the Leo Adler Foundation that I greatly appreciate all of your help and think it is wonderful how much you help out students. I applied and received a scholarship from your foundation for the 2013-2014 school year, however, I ended up not attending school because of some issues that arose, sometimes life gets in the way. Although I did not attend this year I am eager to be starting in the fall at Oregon State University. I will also be applying for the Leo Adler Scholarship again. Thanks again for all your help!
